In a nutshell…

You are looking to kick off your career within Marketing and build your knowledge on advertising campaigns, design and account management. You will be part of the Account Services team where you will help and assist with day-to-day Account Management within the Account Services team who manage the Samsung UK and Ireland business. 

What the day to day looks like…

Reporting to the Account Management team, the Account Manager will be responsible for assisting in managing content as per client briefs.

  • Supporting the Account Director and colleagues with day-to-day tasks related to ad-hoc client requests
  • Working closely with the Account Director and Project Manager to brief and book studio resource
  • Attend weekly client meetings and assist in delivering contact and status reports
  • Communicating with the client to prioritise workflow for the weeks ahead and updating them on progress
  • Helping with financial administration for the team

Strings to your bow…

  • Experience and good knowledge of account management
  • Knowledge of BQMS would be great but not essential
  • Strong IT skills (MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint & Excel)
  • Excellent communicator both verbal and written
  • Work well under pressure with strong attention to detail
  • Great team player, help out the team whenever needed
  • Highly organised with a logical approach to challenges
  • Assisting with proposals and presentations where required
  • Providing essential support on major projects
  • Familiarising yourself with brands, brand strategy and brand thinking
  • Gaining an understanding of brands and getting to know brands inside out
  • Familiarising yourself with widely used media terminology
  • Keeping the team and department up to date with the latest trends and ideas
  • Building a reputation in the creative department
  • Being proactive and carrying out your own research, go on line, go into stores, speak to people and importantly share it with the team
  • Get to understand what best practice means for Cheil. For example, EO’s upfront before we commission work, precise and up to date billings procedures
  • Champion timesheets and ensure the wider team understand their importance
