In a nutshell…

We are looking for an experienced and resilient Head of HR and Talent to lead our HR function. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities with the ability to quickly build credible relationships across all areas of the business. We are looking for a committed individual who is passionate about setting the vision and strategy for people management and development in line with strategic goals and create efficient and effective talent acquisition initiatives which promotes the business as an ‘employer of choice’. This position is a key strategic role in the company helping to manage business growth and build a unique and strong people-oriented culture at Cheil.

What the day to day looks like…

  • Responsible for the service delivery and operational excellence of HR, Recruitment
  • Drive local/internal HR process improvement and support CEO on operational optimisation across the business
  • Partner with the IT Operations Manager to deliver the Employee portal project via JIRA/Confluence, with support from People Coordinator
  • Launch values driven culture, working with Management, HR and Talent Team to establish and embed initiatives through working practices, policies and procedures aligned with business goals
  • Build relationship with HQ and work with RHQ Director to facilitate the harmonisation of European office processes and policies
  • Provide CEO with regular data and insights into the People and Talent function to ensure Management Team are kept informed of opportunities and challenges
  • Utilise the in-house HR system to its full capacity and actively work with RHQ and HQ contacts to feed in local requirements
  • Work with the Finance Director/lead to manage annual processes including bonus, appraisals and pay review
  • Point of escalation for ER issues, providing mentoring and coaching

  • Worked into CEO/HRD
  • Confident in challenging senior management and ‘managing up’
  • Previous experience of working in a Group with an overseas HQ
  • Operationally strong with a sound understanding of HR/People Management i.e.  CIPD Level 7
  • Show an ability to challenge conventional approaches and have the confidence to come up with pragmatic but compliant solutions
